How is the Swim fabric recycled?

We buy an Italian Recycled Polyester fabric that is made from regenerated plastic bottles and fishing nets. Econyl's mission is to maximize sustainability through closed loop manufacturing systems where production is endlessly repeated without any material loss.

The fabric waste is cleaned and prepared before the Enonyl regeneration process before being made into a yarn.

Where are your styles made?

Our first Swimwear collection back in 2014 was made in Europe in an amazing sustainable factory from a good quality lycra.

Our bags and clutches were made in India from a long lasting, durable Cotton Canvas.

All Swimwear collections since then have been made on Gold Coast and Bryon Bay, Australia and macrame tied in-house by designer Nisha Abey.

Our new T-Shirts are ethically made in India from an Organic Cotton Jersey. EarthPositive clothing is manufactured using sustainable energy generated from solar power and wind power and has a positive social and minimal environmental footprint to drive immediate action to combat climate change.
The factory is designed as a blueprint for ethical and sustainable production is environmentally, socially and ethically approved to the highest standard.

how can i recycled my old bikini?

We would hate to see our bikini's or any brand's clothing in fact go to landfill so make sure you recycle your bikini / used clothing at a local textiles recycling plant.

This will ensure the fabric is sent to a factory that strips out the dye to make the used fabrics in a recycled fibre in order for it to be remade into a new product.

If you have grown out of your clothing but it is still in great condition - consider selling it on Depop, Ebay, Local Garage Sale's for a bit of extra pocket money. If you can't sell it, donate it to a charity / Op-Shop.

Run a Swop Event with friends or your local community where you can buy/swap/giveaway your old clothes to a new home - we will be setting some up in Byron Bay soon - so get in touch if this is of interest. If you are running a Swop event then  let us know the details and we will put them on our events page!
